Finding Paragraph 3

Most elderly people that have Melanoma skin cancer received excess amounts of sun exposure when they were in their teens. Melanoma Skin Cancer can infect anyone who receives a lot of sun. “This disease is also more common in people who live in areas that get large amounts of UV radiation from the sun.” (Medicine) This quote is important because it states that some states differ with the amount of sun that can shine in a day.  The sun is a major affect of Melanoma Skin Cancer. “Doctors encourage people to limit their exposure to natural UV radiation and to avoid artificial sources.” (Medicine)  This quote means that even though you go to the tanning beds you can still get Melanoma Skin Cancer.  “UV radiation from the sun causes premature aging of the skin and skin damage that can lead to melanoma.” (Medicine) This quote states what UV radiation is and what it does to the skin.  According to research any age can have Melanoma Skin Cancer although, it is rare for a child to get infected.
