What I want to know about Melanoma Cancer

There are a lot of things I would like to know about Melanoma Cancer. These are some of the more specific ideas. I would like to know if the sun has an effect of getting skin cancer. I would like to know this because I know some people that go out in the sun and they do not use sun screen. Another question is, is there a cure for this type of cancer. Some types of cancer is incurable, so I would like to know how I can protect myself and others. I have also seen some pictures of dogs while researching this topic so, I would like to know if there is any possibility for any animals to get Melanoma Cancer. I have always heard of elderly people getting skin cancer, is it possible for young adults to get this type of cancer? For my final question, I would like to know if your diet effects the seriousness of your type of cancer? Would it help your case to exercise more or is there no since to?

What I know about my topic...

There are only a couple of things I already know about Melanoma Cancer. One of the things I know, is it is one of the worst types of cancer you can get. This type of cancer can be deadly if you do not catch this in time. If you have surgery to remove it and the surgeons do not get all of the cancer cells then, you will not heal properly. In my grandmother’s case it is a bad thing because she has arthritis, and they will not give her medications to her until it heals. Most of this information I have learned came from going to doctor visits with her. I know that Melanoma is a type of skin cancer. I know one way you can receive it is by staying in the sun without sun screen. This type of Skin Cancer is very common in the United States. Melanoma Cancer is a very serious matter to deal with; it is a life or death situation.

The Story Behind My Topic

Did you know that Melanoma Skin Cancer is the most dangerous type of cancer you can get?  I chose to research Melanoma cancer because of my grandmother who is sickened with this type of cancer. My grandmother has a lot of pain and I just want to take all of it away from here. When they first told me she had cancer it hurt because most cases people die from it.  My grandmother is very important in my life so, I wanted to see the reasons why she got this infection so I could help take the pain away.  I also would like to know more ways I can prevent this from happening to me when I get older. I think that if I know more about this type of cancer I can talk to her about what she needs to do to keep her in good health. Another reason I want to research this topic is so I can inform others of the dangers they may encounter. I feel that if I can help others make good decisions right now then later on they will appreciate it more.
